General Bidding Style

Strong NT , 2/1 is not GF and 1nt is non-forcing Open most balance 12 counts 11 counts unbalance hands open, some 10s and rarely 9s 1 most likely has 5 but can be 5332 shape if less than 5 diamonds then either 4441 hands or 4 diamonds - 5 clubs.
Hands exactly 4414 often open 1 and treated as balance.
Will do frequent 4Card major overcalls at the one level and the hand may have longer minor. Raises of 1 level major overcalls generally have 4 card support. After opening bids doubles of preempts generally penalty oriented by responder. |
