General Bidding Style

General: 5533 2/1 with variable NT ranges. 14-16 except 3rd red and 4th where 1N shows 15-17. We upgrade/downgrade frequently within a point of normal range.

Openings: Aggressive white; all 11s and some 10s. We invite heavy and accept light. 3rd seat can be very light and 1M might be a 4cM.

Responding style: We respond light. Our jumpshifts are sound, on the heavy side.

Preempts: Vulnerability and seat dependent. 1st seat favorable is highly undisciplined. Vulnerable we have good suits. 3rd is wide-ranging. 4th seat is not preemptive (2 level is 6+cards and 12-15, 3 level is a distributional invitation to game).

Overcalling: Aggressive. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility. We might have a 4 card suit. New suits are NFC. Jumps are natural and forcing.

2/1 GF: Natural-ish continuations. After 1M - 2m - 2M is default.

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

Leads Vs NT:

2nd/4th length leads
Rusinow Honors from 3+
K = Power

Exceptions to Rusinow against suits and NT:

When we preempt and lead a side suit
Dummy’s Suit
Partner’s Suit
Declarer’s suit
When opponents have preempted the auction and we might be leading an unsupported honor

Leads in the middle of the hand: ATT mostly but if count is relevant we lead 3rd/5th.
