General Bidding Style
| We play a Fantunes variant. Minimum opening strength is 11 balanced and about 10 unbalanced. 2-bids are natural and intermediate (10-13). Plentiful transfers, and a 1N response to any 1-of-a-suit opening is an artificial game force.
1 = on all 11-13 or 17-19 NT hands (or natural with clubs)
1 /1/1 = natural, usually 14+, and never 5332
1N = 14-16 in 1/2 and 15-17 in 3/4 2 = strong
2 // - 10-13 in 1/2 8-13 in 3/4, 5+cards and never 5332

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand
| Suits:
*. 3rd/low spot cards *. Rusinow honor leads (2nd-highest from honor sequences) NT: *. 4th highest spot card lead, from interest. From weak suits, we have the option to lead highest or 2nd-highest *. Defensive Signals
| Signals are UDCA. We give attitude at T1 and count when attitude is known. Suit preference when dummy contains a singleton.
Our first discard shows count and normally denies interest in that suit. We use Reverse Smith against NT when attitude about the led suit is unknown. We do not signal when partner does not require it. |
