General Bidding Style

5 card majors (1NT NF 5-12).
1NT 15-17 (often with 5 card major and 6 card minor, rarely SING)
2/1 Forcing to game; 3 under INV.
3rd hand may be light esp at Fav Vul, generally sound openings otherwise.

Gan has psyched 1S and 1NT when green on third seat.

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

Vs Suit: 3rd from even, low odd (T is honor), but lead high from 4 small after raising partner's suit.

Rusinow leads first trick only against suited.

0/2 higher T9s.

When leading partner's suit with small cards, we lead middle with 3 and smallest with 4.

A for count when switching in the middle of the hand.

Vs. NT: 4th best, but often lead high or second high from bad 4 card suits.

King asks count or unblock; Ace or Queen asks attitude; Other honors std.

Defensive Signals

Upside Down Count and Attitude.

Vs NT: Reverse smith echo and lavinthal discard on the first opportunity respectively.

Signaling priority: Attitude, Count, Suit Preference, but give what's needed most. Suit pref when given is natural.
