ATTENTION ALL USBF MEMBERS

This Fall the USBF will conduct an election to fill 2 seats on its Board of Directors.   Both seats are for a three-year term.  One seats is in the Active category, the other in the Athlete category. These categories and their definitions are as follows:

Active member – must be a member in good standing of either the American Bridge Association or the American Contract Bridge League as well as an active member of the USBF.

Athlete member - must have (1) participated in international team competition by qualifying through a trial sanctioned by the ACBL or the USBF; or (2) finished in the top ten in a WBF Championship event; or (3) finished in the top three in a WBF transnational event.

USBF Board members must be currently active USBF members, having paid the 2008 annual active member dues of $50.

The USBF Nominating Committee has nominated Sylvia Moss to fill the Athlete board position and Mike Passell to fill the Active Member board position.

Additional candidates may be nominated by petition. Ten or more Active Members of USBF may nominate an Active Member for the Active Member Board position. Ten or more Athlete Members of USBF may nominate an Athlete Member for the Athlete Member Board position. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the name of the candidate and the names and email addresses of the people making the nomination on or before November 20. 2008. If there are no petition candidates, the candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee will be elected without the need for an election.
