
The COLCHAMIRO team made it to the Round of 16 in 2005, and to the Round of 32 in 2006. They're hoping to do at least as well this year.

Betty Bloom
Betty Bloom is a Retired Professor; she taught at Southern Illinois University. She has a PhD from the Univ of
Wisconsin. Horses dominated her life for 30 years includng running a riding stable in the Chicago area. She now lives on a farm in upstate NY.
Steve Bloom
Steve Bloom is a retired math professor; he taught at Sienna College and has a PhD from Washngton University, St Louis. His passions are volleyball and bridge. He has spent many years camping all over the US and Canada with Betty and their dogs.
Janet Colchamiro
Janet Colchamiro has a full time bridge teaching and directing schedule on LI. She won the 2000 National Swiss and has several other high finishes in National events. She is one of the few women ever to win the Prestigious NYC Reisinger KO, having reached the final the last 4 consecutive years.
Mel Colchamiro
Mel Colchamiro is a former Wall Street Economist who turned to bridge full time 20 years ago. He has a full time teaching schedule in the NYC area and his byline "Claim With Colchamiro" appears regularly in the ACBL Bulletin and the Long Island, NY "Islander" He is a Grand Life Master with over 13000 MP and won the 2000 National Swiss. He has been second in three other National events. His book, "How to Play Like an Expert (Without Having to Be One)" is doing very well, although of course all bridge players believe they are experts.
